Vinted tracking should be simple, but it often isn’t: you buy an item, the order sits at “sold,” and there’s no tracking for a day or two — so you start wondering if the seller has actually posted it. This guide shows you exactly how to track a Vinted parcel in the app, why the tracking sometimes doesn’t appear, how long delivery really takes, and the one mistake that can cost you your Buyer Protection.

How to track your Vinted parcel
As long as the buyer used the Buy now button and Vinted’s own shipping label, tracking is built into the app. There are two ways to see it.
- From the conversation: open the message thread with the buyer or seller and tap Track parcel. You’ll see the status, and you can follow the carrier link or copy the tracking number.
- From your orders: go to My orders, open the item you bought, and tap Track my item for the full status and tracking number.
One thing to expect: it can take up to 48 hours for the first tracking update to appear on Vinted after a sale. An empty tracking screen on day one is normal, not a red flag.
Which carriers does Vinted use?
Vinted lets the seller pick from several carriers at checkout, and the options depend on the parcel size and your country. In the UK you’ll usually see:
| Carrier | How it delivers | Track it |
|---|---|---|
| Evri (formerly Hermes) | Drop-off and home delivery — very common on Vinted | Evri / Hermes tracking |
| InPost | Locker-to-locker; collect from a parcel locker | InPost tracking |
| Royal Mail | Post Office drop-off and doorstep delivery | Royal Mail tracking |
| Yodel | Home delivery on larger items | Yodel tracking |
| DPD | Home delivery with tight time slots | DPD tracking |
| Vinted Go | Vinted’s own drop-off points and lockers | In the Vinted app |
In other markets you’ll see local partners instead — La Poste and Mondial Relay in France, for example. Whatever the carrier, Vinted mirrors its scans inside the app so you don’t have to hunt for the right website.

How long does Vinted take to deliver?
Two clocks matter: how long the seller has to post, and how long the carrier takes.
| Stage | Typical time |
|---|---|
| Seller has to ship | Within 5 business days, or the order auto-cancels and you’re refunded |
| Domestic delivery | 2–5 working days once posted |
| International delivery | 4–7 working days |
| Vinted’s “lost” threshold | Up to 25 business days before a parcel is treated as lost |
So a realistic end-to-end wait is about a week to ten days. If it’s dragging, it’s usually the seller being slow to post rather than the parcel going missing.
Why can’t I track my Vinted parcel?
This is the most common Vinted complaint, and it’s almost always one of these:
- It’s too soon. Tracking can take up to 48 hours to appear after the sale. Give it a day.
- The seller hasn’t printed the label yet. Until they do, the parcel isn’t registered and there’s nothing to track. Message the seller to check.
- The seller used their own courier. If they didn’t use Vinted’s Buy now shipping, tracking won’t show in the app — they’ll need to send you the number directly, and you’d track it via that carrier or a universal tracker.
- The tracking stopped updating. If the parcel clearly arrived but the status is stuck, tap Mark as received to sync it. For deeper fixes, see our guide to a tracking number that isn’t working.
How do I know if my Vinted order has been shipped?
You’ll get a notification when the seller marks it sent, and the order status changes from “sold” to a shipping status with a Track my item button. If there’s no shipping label and no tracking after a couple of days, the item probably hasn’t actually been posted yet — message the seller.
What if the seller doesn’t ship in time?
Sellers get 5 business days to post after a sale. If they don’t, Vinted automatically cancels the order and refunds you — you don’t lose your money. You can also message the seller first; delays often come down to a busy week rather than anything dishonest. If they’ve clearly gone quiet, let the timer run out and the refund is automatic.
Buyer Protection: the mistake that voids it
Every eligible purchase is covered by Vinted Buyer Protection — you’re refunded if the item doesn’t arrive, is damaged, or is significantly not as described. But there’s a catch worth repeating.
Don’t do this: If a seller asks you to pay for postage outside Vinted, or books their own label instead of Vinted’s shipping, you lose Buyer Protection. Vinted can’t track or verify that parcel, so if it never arrives, they can’t refund you. Always keep the transaction and shipping inside the app.
When something does go wrong, you have a short window to act: within 2 days of Vinted telling you the item should have been delivered (or that it seems lost), open the order and press I have an issue to start a claim. Miss the window and the order completes automatically and the seller is paid.
“Delivered” but nothing arrived
First, check with anyone else at your address and around your door — and if it went to a locker or pickup point, make sure you’ve collected it. If it’s genuinely missing, don’t press “Everything is OK.” Open the order, tap I have an issue within the 2-day window, and Vinted’s Buyer Protection process takes over. Keep the tracking screen as evidence.

Track every parcel in one place: Buy on Vinted, plus AliExpress, DHgate or anywhere else? Add your tracking numbers to PackageTracking.app — it follows Evri, InPost, Royal Mail and 1,700+ carriers in one timeline, with an alert on every update, so nothing slips through the cracks.
Vinted tracking FAQ
Selling on a US resale app instead? Poshmark tracking works much the same way, on a prepaid USPS label.
Selling on Depop too? Depop tracking covers who delivers and the “seller has not added tracking” fix.
Open the conversation with the seller and tap Track parcel, or go to My orders, open the item, and tap Track my item. You’ll see the status and tracking number. It only works when the buyer used Vinted’s Buy now shipping.
Usually because it’s been under 48 hours since the sale, the seller hasn’t printed the shipping label yet, or the seller used their own courier instead of Vinted’s shipping — in which case tracking won’t appear in the app.
You’ll get a notification when the seller marks it sent, and the order shows a shipping status with a Track my item button. No label and no tracking after a day or two usually means it hasn’t been posted yet.
Sellers have 5 business days to post. After that, domestic delivery is usually 2–5 working days and international 4–7. A parcel isn’t treated as lost until about 25 business days have passed.
5 business days. If they don’t post within that time, Vinted automatically cancels the order and refunds you.
Carriers scan at milestones, so gaps of a day or two are normal. If the parcel has clearly arrived but the status is stuck, tap Mark as received to sync it. If it never updated at all, the label may not have been printed.
In the UK, usually Evri (formerly Hermes), InPost lockers, Royal Mail, Yodel, DPD, and Vinted Go drop-off points. Other countries use local partners like La Poste and Mondial Relay.
Yes — Vinted’s integrated shipping options are tracked, and the status shows in the app within about 48 hours. Only custom, seller-arranged postage outside Vinted is untracked.
Vinted’s Buyer Protection covers you if an item doesn’t arrive, is damaged, or is not as described — provided you kept everything inside the app and raised the issue within the 2-day window. Paying or shipping outside Vinted voids that protection.
Check with others at your address and any locker or pickup point first. If it’s still missing, don’t confirm the order — tap I have an issue within 2 days of the delivery notification to open a Buyer Protection claim.
Most delays are the seller being slow to post within their 5-day window, or a normal carrier gap. If it’s past 25 business days or the status says the parcel seems lost, press I have an issue for help.
Inside the app you don’t need it — the order page shows the status. If the seller shipped outside Vinted, you’ll need the number from them; our guide on tracking without a number covers the limited options.
